I’ll admit I hadn’t heard of Chance the Rapper since before yesterday. But since the internet kind of exploded with the release of his mixtape yesterday I decided to see what the hype was about.
I think it’s fucking dope! I really like his style and according to Chance, “The larger majority of AcidRap focuses the critical discourse analysis of the words, “TRIP” and it’s contrapositive counterpart “FALL”. Pay attention throughout the album for juxtapositions and dissections of the two.”
And I think that’s a really interesting journey for this mixtape to take me on so I’m excited for the trip.
Also next time I trip shrooms or acid I’m definitely going to have this shit on repeat.
